Over the past decade most visitors arrived at Boat Basin with little knowledge as to how all came to be and how the garden has survived 109 years in the wilderness. Twenty-five years have passed since publication of Cougar Annie’s Garden, by Margaret Horsfield. The book went ‘out of print’ twelve years ago.
To update the garden’s history, Ada Annie’s Garden, is now available. Insight to the garden’s formative years is provided, followed by a detailed account of the fifty-five years since Peter Buckland made landfall at Boat Basin and met Ada Annie.
In 8.5” x 11”, landscape format, the booklet covers 68 topics over 56 pages, supported by 700 images, 20 sketches, and 4 interpretative maps.
Ada Annie’s Garden is only available from Boat Basin Foundation, owner of the 117-acre property and Temperate Rainforest Field Study Centre, as a gift based upon a donation schedule.
